The Ryan Global Montessori believes that when education is force-fed, the student begins to dislike the process of learning, and dreads examinations and homework.
The teaching methodology at RGM has been made very child-friendly. Our curriculum is designed to enhance the various intelligences of the child and goes way beyond logical-mathematical or linguistic. We try to focus on overall development of an individual and also place emphasis on other aspects like spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic etc.
A love for nature is inculcated from childhood and environmental responsibility is integrated into the curriculum.
The conventional "teacher-to-student" or one-way method of teaching has long been replaced by more engaging and proven methods of instruction like group workshops etc. Individual attention is provided to develop oral and written expression. Our effort is to encourage self-learning, while developing the mind, body and spirit. The key aspects of our methodology are –
- Play way method
- Activity based learning
- Group Activities
- Theme based learning
- Project based learning
Periodic assessments conducted in an absolutely stress-free environment ensure that the student’s key strengths are identified early as also their areas of improvement. These allow the teachers to customize the instruction, if needed. These dynamic continual assessments based on individual observation allow us to meet the specific needs of the children.
The methodology at Ryan strives to meet the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs of the children because when these are met, the children flower naturally and a keen excitement to learn is aroused in them. We strive to create this natural drive to play and work with enthusiasm and creativity.
The high levels of achievement of Ryanites are the outcome of a strong foundation laid at this tender age, which hold them in good stead in all their lives. These successful methods have been refined by the Ryan Group over the last 30 years and after learning from live examples in over 100 schools of the group. |
