toolkit. Secondary education at RGS consists of three distinct, consecutive phases from the prestigious
University of Cambridge based in the United Kingdom. As a registered centre with Cambridge International Examinations, RGS delivers a curriculum that is both stimulating and challenging, providing a broad and balanced education that is essential in preparing students for the future.

FOUNDATION
Grades 6 to 8
Our Foundation curriculum offers a stimulating, enjoyable and comprehensive subject-based programme
leading to the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). This critical period
of a child’s education provides them with an international framework of academic challenge and life skills
appropriate to this stage of adolescence. It is a time in which students begin to assume responsibility for their
own learning.

IGCSE
Grades 9 to 10
The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is the world’s most popular international
curriculum for 14-16 year olds. The programme is built around the core subjects of mathematics, science and
English. Science is taught as three separate disciplines – Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students are strongly
advised to take English as a First Language however for certain students, English as a Second Language is
suggested.
To ensure a student-centred curriculum which provides breadth and richness, students are offered a range of
additional subjects within prescribed option groups. Alongside the core subjects, students opt for a minimum
of four additional subjects. Knowledge and understanding is reinforced through a cross-curricular and trans-
discipinary approach. Subjects* currently being followed by students include

ADVANCED LEVEL
Grades 11 to 12
The AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) qualifications are widely regarded as one of the best pre-
university courses as it allows its graduates to meet the requirements of virtually all the world’s educational
establishments including universities throughout Inda. RGS promotes breadth through a combination of
international qualifications which empower students to specialise.
Most students opt for six subjects – three at AS Level and three at A Level. Subjects* being followed by our current students include

AS English Language is compulsory for all students and is completed in one year. Students then have options
